My Mom arrived for the holidays

After relaxing a bit at Char's, I headed to family friends - Marilyn and Wally. With me being in the mountains for the weekend, they picked up my mom at the airport this afternoon. Seems her flight was delayed a hour thanks to all the delays from Southern Ontario's recent snowstorm. It was good to arrive, and see she arrived safe and sound too. We had a great meal and time to catch up. My mom (the one in the middle) showed me a recent find from "decluttering" the house - a silver tray that was presented to my grandmother Grace (mom's mom) from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal where she was a Pediatric nurse (my mom graduated from Montreal General in Nursing). My mom will spend the next few days visiting with my cousin Marjorie as I have to work. I will be meeting up with my mom and cousin Marjorie on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day we will be heading to Three Hills. Boxing Day - it is Marjorie's birthday so they will be heading to my place for supper. Saturday - we will be trying to connect with my mom's first cousin Pat who is visiting her son in Calgary. Sunday - my mom will be visiting with a family friend and then my mom heads back to Thunder Bay on the Monday. It will go by fast I am sure - but I am glad that my mom was able to come out for a visit and spend the holidays with me and my family.
