Bedtime Stories with Mrs Claus

One of the activities the hotel had was Mrs Santa Claus coming to the front lobby to tell the kids some bedtime stories. Ethan and I ended up with front row seats!! Ethan was able to have chocolate milk with cookies and a candy cane as we listened to her read us the story of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" - a classic Dr. Seuss story.

Eventually, Solomon and his mom Amy passed through the lobby (Solomon's big sister Journey sat and listened to the story too). It was perfect timing as just as Mrs. Santa Claus finished reading to us, the rest of the James gang arrived from their drive from Calgary. I am so glad they arrived safe and sound - the roads everywhere are icy and not the best conditions to drive in.

While Char and I waited for the family to arrive, we sat in the lobby by the fireplace and we enjoyed some Christmas music played by this gentleman. Seems he plays on Friday and Saturday afternoons. He played at the restaurant where we had our Sunday brunch. It was a great way to start our weekend off.
