Meeting Baby Linden
This weekend I flew to Vancouver Island for the weekend to visit my friend Heidi who had a baby 5 weeks ago. Linden was born weighing in at 10lbs 9ozs. He was put in my arms within minutes of me arriving. Just like every other newborn I have held recently - their big eyes absorbing you and I guess figuring out if they will yell or not. I must have made an impression - we had a few cuddle times in the short time I was there. Being that Heidi had to have a C/S, I tried my best to help like the burping times and folding the laundry for her. Plus got a few moments of visiting in too. Linden was doing some cluster feeding I guess yesterday so I didn't see much of Heidi as she was feeding Linden it seemed every 2 hours like clock work.
On the way to the Island I was able to take this photo from the airport of the sun setting as we flew into Victoria. The airplane window was quite dirty so I was glad that the photo turned out so well. It was nice to get away after training for the last 6 weeks straight. My next 4 week training session begins on Tuesday - all new graduates from the college program. Looking for to a week away in TBay after that training session as I have another one beginning Sept 2 - nothing like keeping busy right?
