Fellow walkers ahead of Sara and I - there were some fast/power walkers along the route

The San Jose Police Bike Force were awesome in ensuring we all stayed motivated, enjoyed the experience and most of all, kept us safe. I believe they have been taking part in this event since 1997. As we were not able to bring music with us (Ipods, MP3 players etc), it was great having them cycle by as they had portable boom-boxes attached to that back of their bikes - great way to get a pace to got with the song playing.
