Flying to Ft Lauderdale

These two photos are taken as we flew over Georgia and South Carolina.

We have arrived!!! Flying over the Florida Everglades as we arrive to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport.

We were very happy it was a relatively smooth flight to Toronto as well as to Ft Lauderdale so we basically slept the whole time on the plane. When we arrived you can tell the difference in temperature - the humidity hits you like a ton of bricks but there is a nice breeze so that definitely helps when you are not used to this type of weather. We found out our car was a Nissan Altima (seabreeze colour - same as my mom's actually). The car is also keyless - so how do you start it? Press the brake and the start button at the same time, you turn off the car the same way. Found out too that the car has to be off to open the trunk. We decided (saves us money) - I am the driver and Amanda is our navigator. Our room is nice and quite refreshing - at times too cold. Both Amanda and I think that they over compense due to the humidity to have the AC on full blast.
