CCF Quilting Ladies Christmas Dinner

Last Monday, we took a break from quilting/sewing and went out for dinner at the Cheesecake Cafe. Plenty of laughing and sharing went on that evening. Brenda found these great little ornaments at a Christmas store downtown Calgary. Engraved were different words - Faith, Hope, Charity, Peace, Love (I think there is one more and I can't remember it right now). I received the Hope star. I loved them so much Brenda were able to purchase the rest of the set for me - will get them on Sunday.

Since Suzanne put two fingers about Brenda's head in the group photo, Brenda wanted another photo taken - so here are the two holding up their stars. A little sidenote - as you can tell by the top photo - I am kind of the youngest person in our quilting group, but they have made me feel right at home. They are also determined to get me comfortable with a sewing machine so I can start on my own quilt - now there is a challenge for them and I am sure there will be plenty of laughs along the way too. Funny how a little request in January of making t-shirt quilts for my dad turned into some great friendships. Thank you ladies!!

You sure have been busy - must see your new home on one of our/my visits to Calgary. The Christmas program looks great and I am glad you have made so many friends thru quilting......
