The Renos are complete - well for now....
I arrived home from work today and Jon J was just cleaning things up. All the painting and renos that I was having done are now complete. Majority of it occurred while I was away these past 12 weeks on the reabstracting study. Jon and his brother inlaw John have made some major transformations to my house especially on the main level. John, the carpenter created what I was wanting while Jon was the painter. They make a great team!! The renos have been months in the making - they have been working on my house since mid-Nov.
Let's see what renos have they done for me:
- insulated the garage (plus John added a table bench/shelf for me - it's the side I hit)
- built-in shoe rack in the front foyer of the house
- 2 built-in bookshelves in the lower level (for my computer area)
- extra shelving in the closet space under the stairs (lower level)
- hanged my vanity cupboard in the bathroom (lower level)
- installed the closet organizer for my room (lower level)
- shelf in the utility room (recycled from my room closet - lower level)
- storage closet for towels, linens and blankets (lower level)
- an awesome headboard/shelving unit for my room (lower level)
- a headboard for the beds in the master suite and second room (main floor)
- wall bookshelf (second room on main floor)
- corner bookshelf (master suite on main floor)
- corner shelf above the fireplace with a new mantle (main floor)
- fireplace has been tiled with a hearth created out of the tiling - stunning!! (main floor)
- Jon J painted basically everything mentioned above as well as my kitchen, living room and foyer area. He also did some changes to the furnishings that I am love - changes the space, more inviting if you ask me.
Wow - when you read it - I sure kept Jon and John busy. It's been great having the company - plenty of scrabble games were played and good laughs (especially with the garage incident - I can now laugh about it).
If you or any of your family/friends need any renos done - let me know - you will receive great workmenship and high quality of items you ask to be built or needed to be painted. Totally would recommend Jon and John.
Footnote: I am in the process of putting all my collectibles away, while trying to remember what the colour consultant told me about "not cluttering my collectibles" especially within my wall unit of dolls. This weekend I am in Ottawa for my dad's 70th birthday celebrations and the following weekend I am having a potluck with my Calgary family - so photos will be posted of the renos after that.
So please be patient with me.
