Getting into the Christmas Spirit

This afternoon, I went to the basement to go through all the Christmas decorations that I had and the ones my mom shipped this summer. The big decoration that my mom sent was the huge Christmas tree. Since I wanted to host Christmas dinner being this is my first Christmas in my home, we will be eatting in the basement to accommodate everyone. There is about 16 of us, one being my mom - I wanted to share this first with me. I recruited her to help me make Christmas dinner. The ornaments that I decided to put on the tree were either homemade (my sister inlaw made a few) or special keepsakes. To help it look festive, I hammered in some nails in the bulkhead and hung some garland so it doesn't look to much like unfinished basement (nothing I can do about the seeing the isolation though).
