Pont St-Benezet

Also called Bridge of Avignon, built between 1175 & 1185 which once linked Avignon and Villeneuve-lez-avignon over the Rhone, but a great flood of 1669 erode some of the bridge and is to this date incomplete. It was named after a herdsman who is said to have heard the Voice of God to construct this bridge.
